Cis people, how many times have you been asked to describe how you masturbate, and what you think about when you do, to access healthcare on the NHS?

This government has not taken a single meaningful step to tackle the causes of the horrendous inefficiencies in the criminal justice system, instead rushing to dismantle trial by jury.

Legal professionals have offered numerous alternatives to address the backlog.

Ministers are not listening.

Kathleen Stock has written an article against "abortion permissiveness". She claims abortion requires "justification" saying the state should limit "unacceptable decision-making" by women about their own bodies.

You don't say?
Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.

The tendency of Coroners to ignore guidance from the Chief Coroner, the reality of trans existence, and the wishes of bereaved parents, and express their own views in the death certificate, is both contemptible and unlawful.

We have a legal team ready to go; we will challenge it in the High Court.

I feel like an absolute Cassandra. I definitely remember having a conversation in supervision 2 and a half years ago about how they'll come for Gillick competence, and later it'll be contraceptives and a persons right to abortion.

Please share this excellent article by @novicsara.bsky.social widely.

The 2nd half about the marketisatiom, language misappropriation of British Sign Language (BSL) and attempts by MakatonHQ to do the same with other sign languages which are unintelligible to local deaf signers is important!

I prosecute and defend the most serious sexual offences in our courts.

The overwhelming majority of offenders are British-born. Overwhelmingly the victim is someone known to them, either a partner or relative.

Anybody purporting to care about protecting women might start there.

Reading format snobbery can get in the bin.

I love reading. I haven't been able to read print books for 10 years thanks to impairments mashing my vision. Ebooks are 99% of my reading.

Audio is reading.
Braille is reading.

And sometimes people do other formats like audio-first and that's cool too!
People who dismiss e-books or audiobooks as being somehow less worthy or less meaningful than physical books are missing the point of books. Books are not ink and paper, just as human beings are not defined by their physicality. Books are connections; emotions; ideas; just like their creators.

Deeply pissed off that my fucking Trade Union is refusing me legal help with my discrim claim cos my local branch was too overloaded to help early enough. I even pushed local to tell region this is why it's late.

I'm considering leaving.

Why pay in when they aren't there when I need them most.

Trying to get people to stop boycotting Target, too is just the whipped cream on top.

Beginning Monday, a Frozen Peppermint Hot Chocolate drink will be available exclusively at Starbucks cafés inside Target stores.

The chains are hoping the drink can drum up excitement from customers this holiday season.

Congress’s shutdown deal eliminated key food safety rules, blocking agencies from enforcing measures to prevent contamination and trace outbreaks. This rollback has coincided with a surge in hospitalizations and deaths from foodborne illnesses.
