Shattering the Shell: My Journey to Authenticity

Yet JKR and friends are claiming trans people are the risks...

While sucking up to Jeffrey Epstein *AFTER* Epstein was convicted of one round of child abuse offences...

This needs sharing like all heck, to show transphobia was not and has NEVER been about protecting (cis) women (or children).
JK Rowling's team invited Jeffery Epstein to the deathly hallows play and to a Harry potter dinner.

US post about considering trans people as disabled for legal purposes 19thnews.org/2026/01/disa... and how the current US fascist administration is trying to reverse that and how it's not the end of the fight.

Often what trans people need is flexibility and 'reasonable accommodations'.
Disability groups are standing united for trans rights. That hasn't always been the case.
Forty years ago, disability advocates abandoned the LGBTQ+ community in exchange for legal protections. Decades later, they are fighting a Trump administration rule to roll-back more safeguards for tr...

It is v US centric, but was so validating about the messiness and it being OK to be messy, cos people are messy.

I recommend watching this video either ALL the way through, or from 1hr:02mins onward. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtQ9...

It starts off as a back-of-envelope calculation about renewable energy vs burning fossil fuels and 1hr02min in starts talking about the state of the USA today.
You are being misled about renewable energy technology.

ICE abduct a parent from his car leaving his baby behind uncared for and covered in broken glass.

This is NOT normal.

How is this even slightly OK from a state agency?

Video shows ICE leaving behind an infant and broken glass after arresting a man with no criminal history.

Anyone know who best to complain to about:
1) Out of Hours GP service losing a urine sample and it never getting to the usual GP.
2) GP's urine sample service taking 8+ days to return result.

2nd sample showed antibiotics were wrong, but came too late to save a relapse and more illness. I'm LIVID.

Horrific. ICE incarcerates the carer father of a disabled man, who then deteriorates and dies without his dad's care.

ICE refuse to allow the father to visit his son or get to his funeral.

All of these fights are and have to remain intersectional. There are no single-issue fights. #ICE #ICEKills

Make it easier for yourself by using an external microphone that will boost even the most softly spoken participants. Lapel or 'lavalier' mics are widely available, cost as little as £10, and can transmit wirelessly to your phone recorder via a plug and play transmitter.

Is it a pre-requisite for going to work in HR that you are hopeless at notetaking employment critical meetings?

Thankfully I had my own excellent notetaking companion whose notes I've pass-agg shared back.

This evening I reread @penpep.bsky.social's memoir 'First in the World Somewhere' which made me laugh as well as think about Disability Rights, Disabled joy and many late and living Disabled Comrades.

Interesting.

The federal government certainly has not had a slam-dunk defence on this. The judge has not nodded along with dismissal.

Unless by when judgment is handed down the "surge" has gone rendering any decision academic, it looks as if government could lose this.

There's some very dodgy defence logic in here.

'“The unemployment insurance proposals risk watering down vital benefits for disabled people – benefits they’ve built up by working and paying national insurance,” said Anne Pardoe, head of policy at Citizens Advice.'

Disabled people could face benefit cuts – even if they cannot work
Long-term claimants of employment and support allowance could be moved over to a new, time-limited disability benefit – equating to cuts.

Three key things that need to happen for trans children, in Scotland and beyond:

1) Meaningfully consult with young trans people. Take them seriously.

2) Draw on knowledge that already exists about trans children's experiences and needs.

3) Acknowledge the negative influence of eliminationists.
