Jeremy was a keen cyclist before illness made cycling a two-wheeled bicycle impossible. Through the Wheels4Me scheme, he was able to explore tricycle options & get back to doing what he loves.

It's always great to read about someone like Zeeshan, who is now cycling for the first time!

But, as the article mentions, a trike is much bigger & heavier than a bike, and requires a lot of strength and stamina to use. You can't keep up with non-disabled people on bikes using an unpowered trike.
I always thought I would never be able to ride a bike: Zeeshan’s story

We should all be able to travel confidently and easily. In 2023, we asked disabled people to rate their experience of different types of transport. How do their scores compare with yours? Let us know what transport you use and how you’d score your journeys.

We love this time of the year, as it's one of the few occasions when staff, volunteers and trustees all get together at the Christmas Party.

So, last week it was an absolute pleasure to see everyone in-person to celebrate everything we've achieved this year and to let our hair down.

This morning Ben Foley was at the "Beyond fare" event in Parliament, which aims to end the patchwork of poor provision for Disabled people's bus passes. It gave Ben an opportunity to talk to MPs @tomgordonld.bsky.social, @rachaelmaskell.bsky.social @stevedarlingmp.bsky.social
and Julian Lewis.

There's no single mobility aid that works for everyone.

That's why we'll keep working to help make a world where all #Disabled people can use their ideal wheels to get around.

Wishing everyone their ideal wheels in 2026!

Along with more than 50 other organisations, we have signed a letter to the Transport Secretary asking for the cycling and walking investment strategy to be more ambitious than it is.

Active travel should have a clear, long-term, fully deliverable national plan.
