Sports and nerdy stuff.
It’s all loyalists willing to cover his crimes to the very end
Nearly two hours after Trump posted a message to Pam Bondi, leading people to think he’s frustrated with her, he posts an update to say she’s doing great and that he’s nominating his former personal attorney Lindsey Halligan to serve as U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia.

Not only that but his is clearly a money losing endeavor. Paying 10 feds $50 an hr to catch people skipping out on their $1.5 fare
How fortunate we are that the United States is so bereft of serious crimes that we can afford to have FBI agents standing around the Metro all day watching for turnstile-jumpers.
Unidentified federal officers were doing fare enforcement at 7th and H Street NW last night, per my colleague Jonathan Edwards:

Welp, there’s you new dictator El Salvador
El Salvador’s National Assembly approved sweeping changes to the nation’s Constitution, paving the way for President Nayib Bukele, who is in his second term in office, to run for re-election indefinitely.

The hall of mirrors at Versailles is about 8,000 sqft; the largest room in the palace, the Gallery of Great Battles, is like 16,000 sqft.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order establishing the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, and bringing back the Presidential Fitness Test.

Bryson DeChambeau, Harrison Butker, Lawrence Taylor and Paul “Triple H” Levesque attended.

I spoke to two previous White House Social Secretaries who said that the White House could genuinely use more event space.

Their concern is over the design the president ends up choosing, who the donors are to the $200 million fund, and what they will get in return for their donation.
Trump on the need for a new White House ballroom: "People are schlopping to the tent. It's not a pretty sight. The women with their lovely evening gowns, all of their hair all done, and they're a mess by the time they get in. They've always wanted to have it."

This is some dystopian shit and no healthy democracy would build this. But here we are. The orange tyrant doesn’t plan on leaving folks
Trump is building a White House ballroom.

It kind of looks like a Home Depot without the aisles and a sale on gold chairs.

In other words, he doesn't plan to leave in 2028.

After at least 15 years of talking about it, President Trump is building a ballroom at the White House. Work will begin this coming September, with a price tag of $200 million, the White House says.

I wonder what Kudlow would have said about the idea of a $900 billion economic fund directly managed by President Obama. I suspect he would have correctly called it socialism.
Lutnick: "Japan gave us $550 billion, South Korea gave us $350 billion. That's $900 billion into a national security and economic fund managed by Donald Trump ... you ain't seen nothing like drill baby drill when you give $900 billion to Donald Trump. Now that is gonna be drill baby drill."

Literally erasing history. Don’t know how much will even be left in 3.5 years
Exclusive: The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History removed references to President Trump’s two impeachments from an exhibit — an apparent change to its plans to update its collection of artifacts about the historic U.S. proceedings.

A temporary placard, on display since 2021, described the president's historic impeachments. Officials said the exhibit was restored to an earlier version following a review of legacy content.

But at least Trump’s rich friends get their tax break!

Damn‼️ Federal agents blew a door off for this?

Federal agents blasted their way into an LA home where Jenny Ramirez lives with her boyfriend and two kids.

She heard the blast while checking on her 6-year-old, with her 1-year-old in her arms.

Ramirez says everyone in the home is a U.S. citizen.

This Ohio state wrestling doc is pretty damning of Jim Jordan. In any country where he has any shame or if there was any justice he would have resigned or been removed. Instead he is rewarded and gets to pop off weekly on Fox News. This country sucks sometimes.
