DEI is when a woman or non-white person who is qualified for a job receives that job. The meritocracy is when a 19 year old gets to run the United States government because he posted the dankest memes
Yes totally cool that a 19-year-old who called his deleted LinkedIn "Big Balls," where he lists his experience working as a camp counselor can access the entire US federal payment system without anyone looking into his background, for instance, his Russian national close relatives or anything else

Gavin Kliger, Elon's DOGE hitler youth shutting down USAID, is now indirectly responsible for the deaths of thousands of children. His Instagram appears to be @gkliger. He's scrubbing his online footprint.

Here's an archived copy of Kliger's resume: web.archive.org/web/20240418...

Trump knows what he's doing is unpopular.

He knows he can't get his plans through even a Republican Congress.

So he's going authoritarian to do it anyway.

I don't want to know about the Democrats being silent, WHY ARE THE VOTERS SILENT??

Why are they okay with this?

What the US is experiencing right now is fascism. There's no other word for it and pretending that it's verboten to say so diminishes the truth as much as they are diminishing the truth. It's fascism. It's arrived.

This language describes a coup. You have to be a government employee, subject to the rules & procedures that bind gov employees, to do this kind of work. This is a blatant abuse of the public trust by the Trump administration, a true 5-alarm fire. www.wired.com/story/elon-m...

Remember that Trump, Vance and the Republican Party said nothing about shutting down USAID during the election. It wasn't a campaign pledge. It wasn't a thing, at all, until about a week ago when Elon Musk was goaded into it by fash blue-ticks in his Twitter replies. There's no mandate for this.
"We're in the process of doing that, shutting down USAID."

USAID "is not an apple with a worm in it"—"it's a ball of worms... it's hopeless. ... there is no apple.... it's beyond repair."

The President can't unilaterally abolish USAID, which is mandated by Congress, 22 USC §6563, and is an "independent establishment," id citing 5 USC §104.

USAID continues to exist as much as the Social Security Administration does. The President is violating the law and the Constitution.
If Trump, Musk, and the crew abolish USAID, NED, and other such entities, can those entities be re-established by a future administration? It is only February 2025, but Americans ought to be thinking about “after.”

a deadly attack on civil society, probably the worst in American history since George III
New — USAID staff received an email just a few minutes ago letting them know HQ would be closed to all personnel Monday. It’s likely some employees will miss the overnight email, show up and be turned away.

It was sent by Gavin Kliger, one of the young guys at DOGE doing Musk’s bidding.

Elon Musk wants to shutdown USAID because USAID played a significant role in helping to end Apartheid in South Africa. The US media really failed at doing its job as few Americans know Elon Musk has long been embracing South African Apartheid and wants to see it implemented in the US.
"US policy was to help bring an end to apartheid and establish a nonracial, democratic gov. In response to this policy and the Act, USAID/SA was responsible for financing projects that apartheid victims viewed as critical in promoting social, political, and economic change through peaceful means."

〝Having secured themselves in key ministries and in a building adjacent to the presidential office complex, Musk’s forces have begun issuing directives to civil service workers and forcing the resignation of officials deemed insufficiently loyal, like the head of the country’s aviation authority.〞
Having watched with growing alarm the developments of the last 24 and 36 hours in Washington, I thought I’d take a stab at how the US media would cover this story if it was happening in a foreign country. Here’s that story that should be written this weekend: www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/musk-s-jun...

I agree with someone else on here. Elon is putting in programming for crypto as well as any other top secret documents he could get his hands on. Besides, DOGE is currently operating illegally. He had no clearance or credentials. Shouldn’t security and police already have arrested Elon?

MUSK wasn't elected, he doesn't have clearance, as far as I know to run an official department that doesn't have oversight. Ugh.
