Adam Tooze: Market correction of the same magnitude as the dotcom crash could wipe out over $20trn in wealth, equivalent to roughly 70% of American GDP in 2024. This is several times larger than the losses of the early 2000s. The implications for consumption would be grave.

Exactly why we need the national emergency briefing @nebriefing.bsky.social and then on to weekly briefings.

Pls ask your MP to attend: www.nebriefing.org

I have heard this view many times and interestingly, I am hearing it more now than in the past. Often it is little more than a convenient excuse to sit back and do nothing. Even when it isn't, the distance from here to complacency is short. "Kyiv in 3 days" is history but Russia might as well win

The collusion seems to include providing the Russian authorities with materials (from their confidential asylum applications!) used to send forcibly repatriated dissidents to prison. The depth of betrayal here is beyond words.
BREAKING: ICE is sending Russian dissidents back to Russia. When the dissidents arrived in Russia, the Russian authorities were given documents relating to their asylum applications in the US which under US law are confidential. This seems to be part of a secret agreement between Trump and Putin.
