Well ... this is fun. I love it when there isn't a single actual, living human being in the world I can talk with when I'm frustrated/irritated like I am now.

The Pentagon deleted webpages on the Holocaust, on Medal of Honor recipient SGT Henry Johnson, and on Jackie Robinson.

Now they’re banning books on the Holocaust, Maya Angelou’s autobiography, and American history.

It’s despicable.

Maya Angelou memoir, Holocaust book are among those pulled from Naval Academy library in DEI purge
Also on the list were historical books on racism, the Ku Klux Klan and the treatment of women, gender and race in art and literature.

Some of you thought I made a mathematical error in my PROOF report on the new international slave trade Donald Trump and Nayib Bukele have agreed upon.

I didn’t.

Both The Conversation and FT report that U.S. inmates—a majority with no criminal record—will have “less than two feet of living space.”

Sen. Cory Booker—a Black man—just BROKE segregationist Strom Thurmond's record for longest floor speech in US Senate history.

Thurmond spoke for 24 hours 18 minutes in opposition to civil rights.

Booker has now spoken for 24 hours and 19 minutes against Trump's abuses against Americans' rights.

dismissed class early so I wouldn't miss Booker breaking Thurmond's record in real time. (As a person who grew up in and whose family is from SC, this one's personal for me. Thurmond was in office when my grandparents were in college AND when my ass was in college)

And fun fact: Senator Thurmond would do filibusters to stop civil rights legislation. This is the opposite of that.

I am Jewish.

I have spent literally my entire life on university campuses.

I was the child of two Jewish professors.

Since kindergarten I have spent exactly one year as neither a student nor a professor.

I have, on occasion, experienced antisemitism. But never on a university campus.

Already there have been government workers "just doing their jobs" removing Black people, LGBTQ people and women from websites, memorials and other spaces of public memory.

Where are the stories of people refusing to hit the "delete" button?

Not enough. What's to stop people from doing worse?
I don’t disagree, I would say everyone who can stand up should stand up. This is very much an us vs them. They are purging POC from jobs and trying to erase them from history. This is only going to get worse. They are brazen and ignore the laws.
