Today's shootings just reinforce why I went non-party. If you want to joke and gloat about people shot for political views or turn dead kids into your partyline rally cry then please leave me alone. I'm not your token muslim friend,not oppressed,I have my voice and don't need violence to use it.

This afternoon, in addition to Charlie Kirk, there was a school shooting. Bullets don't know and don't care if you are a Republican or Democrat. It is time for Republicans and Democrats to find a way to work together to reduce gun violence.

This looks really good and I'm hoping my library is going to stick it in Libby. I just hope they highlight Colvin and give her the credit for the sit in and boycott origin and not Parks. The revisionism in this part of history always chaffed me.
This graphic novel is for 8-12 year olds but I would even recommend it for an adult who only had surface knowledge of Parks and Colvin. The book takes great care not to sugar-coat the fullness of their stories

So apparently I read this in 2020 but I don’t remember it at all. Then I realized that most of the Indian women’s fiction I’ve read I don’t remember. I wonder if my mind just doesn’t retain fictions well? Maybe it’s 1st person block?
