Pollution fell across the five boroughs and in the suburbs, too. A clean air win all around.

The more we learn about Zohran Mamdani's upbringing, the clearer it becomes that he owes everything to his connected, well-to-do parents.

U.S. immigration authorities detained British commentator Sami Hamdi, revoked his visa and said he would be deported rather than allowed to complete his speaking tour in the United States, a Homeland Security official said on Sunday.

There's a lot to unpack, digest and consider here, though some of the solutions they suggest seem unworkable.

But it's striking to me that they dismiss @aoc.bsky.social as "AOC at the Met gala," when she is actually an example of a working-class candidate with great communication skills who wins.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

Important to read this article about ICE raid on the south side of Chicago.
My god.

“Watson said she saw agents dragging residents, including kids, out of the building without any clothes on and into U-Haul vans. Kids were separated from their mothers…’It was heartbreaking to watch…seeing kids coming out buck naked and taken from their mothers, it was horrible.’”
Massive immigration raid on Chicago apartment building leaves residents reeling: 'I feel defeated'
The Department of Homeland Security said federal agents with Border Patrol, the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives arrested 37 people in the raid.

“Why won’t Zohran Mamdani denounce a dangerous slogan?” asks a headline in the Atlantic.

Meanwhile, Andrew Cuomo isn’t asked to denounce a dangerous war criminal whose legal team he joined.

Antisemitism is an assault on all of our values.

So why would Republicans cut funding to address hate crimes or protect synagogues?

Republicans are not trying to keep Jewish students safe. They're trying to keep the Israeli government safe from any form of criticism.
