Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-Pa.) said Amtrak’s president told him SEPTA funding cuts include $71.1 million necessary to operate the Keystone Service train between Harrisburg and NYC via Philly. The line would cease to operate without more state money for SEPTA.

DC statehood shows Dem weakness goes back a while.

Occasional lip service, but barely even that, and effectively took the stance that hundreds of thousands of US citizens should be disenfranchised because it’s unfair that they’d elect Dem Senators, which would make the Senate less disproportionate.

If Harrisburg isn't going to pay to fund SEPTA, Philly shouldn't have to send its tax money out to pay for those giant wicker man statues they burn people in to bless the harvest or whatever they do out in Schuylkill county.

Until like two years ago, I thought Jerome Powell was black. I realized I was wrong when I saw photos of him at the Dead & Co concert lmao
Folks, get in here. We’re admitting all the dumb wrong shit we believed until we were way too old.
Fun fact: until I was appreciably into my 20s, I thought they were called oncologists because they were always “on call.”

This is the general theme of the last two years of the Democratic Party. As Dostoevsky put it: your worst crime is that you have betrayed yourself for nothing. They think they are making hardnosed sacrifices for leverage when they’re really being sold seashells and trinkets
Cory Booker doing an entirely performative filibuster and then voting to advance the President’s felon father-in-law is hilarious. Selling your personal virtue for *nothing.*
JUST IN: The Senate voted 52–46 to advance Donald Trump’s nomination of Charles Kushner, Jared Kushner’s father, to serve as U.S. Ambassador to France and Monaco. Lisa Murkowski was the only Republican senator to vote against it. Democratic Senator Cory Booker was the only Democrat to vote yes.
