But Ken Sim said we can't afford $10M for active transport lanes on Broadway because "we don't live in la la land."

We got our Canadian election voter card in the mail this week, and will be taking advantage of the 4 days of advance voting that will make it easy.

Remember, the polls look good for Carney, but DON’T be overconfident.

Polls don’t win elections.

Neither do pundits.

TURNOUT wins elections.

It's election day! Turnout is up - but if we don't turn out to vote today, and bring our progressive friends with us, Ken Sim's candidates can still win.

Polls are open 8am-8pm. You can vote at most community centres or at City Hall.

Bring a friend!

They said an app owned by someone close to an autocratic leader might be used as propaganda.

Hey Vancouver voters.

This is good news.

I’ve worked with and observed city councillors up close in too many cities to list (including Vancouver, obviously) for 33 years.

Lucy would be a very good city councillor.

Watching some in the Canadian far-left apply the same “purity test” to Mark Carney that was done to Kamala Harris is not just frustrating. It’s infuriating. It helped Trump and Elon win there. We can’t let it help Pierre and Elon win here.

We need one US leader who sees the Matrix and gets it: public spaces are the best part of a city (not private spaces). But children cannot co-exist with cars moving faster than a crawl. In car-free spaces, children thrive. Once one city is transformed like Paris it could start a revolution.
IMPORTANT: Paris has been implementing a 5-Year Pedestrian Plan:
- 300 million € invested by 2026
- 100 new hectares of pedestrian space
- 100 more “streets for kids”
- Focus on 0 pedestrian deaths #VisionZero
- Longer pedestrian cross times geared to seniors

Leadership.

Does your city have one?

They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.

The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k.
