This magazine is a gateway drug for reason and humanism. Over the next few years our mission is to get it into the hands of as many people as possible and, by doing so, to change their life. Now, more than ever, we will fight for rationality, scientific inquiry and human decency.

Care home investors rake in billions from pensioners

96% of elderly care privatised. Private equity moving in.

Focus on short-term profits, cut wages/staff, low investment, poor care.

27% price hike. £1.5bn taken by shareholders.

“Tories’ problem is they have nothing to offer”

They’ve hollowed themselves out with egomania, prejudice and populist incompetence.

Brexit, Johnson, (Truss) and Farage commit them to their ongoing pointlessness. They have nothing to offer and nothing new to say.

The Israeli government is committing genocide—one of the greatest evils known to humankind—in Gaza.

Executing unarmed non-combatants is evil.

Not only are both these statements true, they’re synergistic—part of the same humanist philosophy.

I condemn the Israeli government _and_ the DC assassin.

It's a strong point, but we have shown that we can work together to get the Tories out, maybe with Reform and the Tories competing in many seats, the step to getting Labour down to a minority/coalition govt through tactical voting is not such a huge leap.
This is the essential problem: If one doesn't support Labour, then a Tory (and Reform?) Government is the consequence. The threshold for not supporting Labour should therefore be very high.
A ruling Reform/Tory coalition after GE 2029 would mean the end of the Labour party for all time. (R+T would come in with all the earlier Tory sins whitewashed away by Labour's 5 disastrous years.)

People will never forgive Labour the endless missed opportunities to take a different path instead.
