Unfortunately, in US journalism it is considered neutral to spread a lie, but it is considered "biased" to call out a lie. So, there is a structural asymmetry that rewards colorful lies with virality.

We definitely need to cap home ownership to a maximum of two. I’m old enough to remember a time when home ownership was not just a negative gearing tax racket for investors but a way to simply have a home. Good times.
