Got my ticket 🫡
Almost the entire upper bowl is available now (from $47.50). I think we can sell out ALL OF BC PLACE.

Dreamed of a day we'd have a match like this with the 'Caps, wow.

Also resale tickets are appearing and lower bowl seats near supporters are going for 700% markup 😬

Lower bowl sold out and they opened up the two sides of the upper bowl of BC Place for the Whitecaps' Western Conference Semifinal Nov 22. Highly recommend getting tickets if you can, this team is amazing and so fun to watch. The atmosphere will be incredible.

Great explanation of the shortcomings of this proposed bike infrastructure project
Burnaby is seeking feedback on their Southwest Bikeway upgrades, but some of the proposed options are... not good. If you live or ride through Burnaby, please read and tell them to take these upgrades seriously!

Remind me again how Stanley Park doesn’t need a bike lane? (And also where’s your front plate?)

If, like me, you were worried about the consequences of this, only the car is damaged in the end thankfully

Today on Vancouver’s “perfect” bike route (plus one driver charging through a stop sign and another double-parked blocking everyone despite ample parking spots nearby)

When the server comes to take our order and I still haven’t decided what I want for my appetizer
COLLINS: Does that mean you haven't made a decision yet on what to do?

TRUMP: I like to make a final decision one second before it's due. Because things change. Especially with war.

This barrier is clearly not enough - even just from a financial perspective the amount of money spent repairing it can’t compare well to the cost of a stronger one
Bad crash on the Lions Gate last night, almost certainly involving speed. Really shows the need to strengthen the sidewalk barrier - and to repair the several parts along the bridge that are broken.

Great thread. This story also highlights the problem with almost all of Vancouver's "bikeways" - they're narrow canyons between parked cars. This is 10th Ave, the main east-west route in the city, which Ken Sim called a "perfect bike lane" that negated the need for protected lanes on Broadway. (1/2)

I don't have a vote in this by-election (due to living in North Van) but if I did I would be very happy to give one to Lucy and OneCity.
If you want an affordable city, where everyone is safe and where everyone belongs, Ken Sim isn’t working for you.

We need leaders who are ready to stand up and fight back. That’s why I’m running with @onecityvan.bsky.social for City Council. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGcI...

"Doesn't look that great" but also looks better than 99% of the bike lanes we have in North America 😭
Sure, it doesn’t look that great, but this old cycle lane on the right along the Seine, with its secret-passage vibe, actually leads to an almost 10-kilometer car-free bike route that takes you to the eastern suburbs of Paris. And a lot of people still do not know it exists.

Very on-brand for the VPD to be more worried about a bit of traffic than someone being killed
1/ Another tragedy on Nanaimo St. Less than a week after a driver plowed onto a sidewalk by a bus stop, just two weeks after a pedestrian was critically injured, a cyclist has been killed 3 blocks south. These aren’t accidents—they’re policy failures. We know how to stop this.
