'The CFIA said in a statement that after consulting with experts, it concluded that “that the most appropriate and humane option was to use professional marksmen in a controlled on-farm setting.”'
It makes sense but it's also wild they literally just walked in and shot the birds.

It's over. Sadly, while this case got a lot of attention, it is happening to other farms across the province regularly, whose owners don't kick up as much of a fuss

With Budget 2026, we thankfully see Women and Gender Equality funding protected from cuts. However, the Government has failed to take steps to modernize Canada's charity laws, limit the dangerous misinformation of anti-choice clinics or end the privileged tax deductions for clergy.
