Loot that drops after defeating me:
* Chain lube
* An ergonomic keyboard & trackball
* A case of Pepsi Zero Sugar
* A set of Allen keys, missing the 2.5 mm
* A beard trimmer with the #2 guard
* A small library's worth of lightly used novels, RPG books, graphic novels, and sheet music
Loot that drops after defeating me:
+ Sailor Moon’s crescent wand
+ 3 arrows
+ A healing potion that tastes like iced tea
+ Old Disneyland park tickets
+ A broken crayon
+ An infinite amount of dice
Loot that drops after defeating me:
• a flurry of IOUs
• a bill from the hospital
• one old plastic comb with two broken teeth
• an iced latte, half-finished
• all-encompassing melancholy

Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

“oh for fuck sakes”
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

"How did this ever work?"

“Did you make this with AI?”

This is one of the worst takes from LLM enthusiasts.

Compilers are deterministic, extremely well tested, made out of incredibly detailed specifications debated for months and properly formalized.

LLMs are random content […]

This is insane. A 3D-printed book nook, with backlight and working clock.

Want one? The person who designed this (hint, not me) has made it available to print your own: makerworld.com/en/models/23...

Little-known fact: dice have a limited number of "good rolls" in them and once you've run out, you need to buy new dice.

The bots and scammers are out in full force today. I don't know what the answer is but this is such a scummy part of the internet.

There are many things I cannot say about this, due to code-of-conduct rules. 😐
A study out of SFU shows something we already knew: Vancouver's bike infrastructure has stagnated. #bikeyvr

This is apparently on the wall at Team Canada’s workout room.

Big fan of this. (Alt text for easier reading.)

Just because good news is worth celebrating:

There is now a Prep medication that is an *every six month* injection.

HIV has, effectively, a vaccination.

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Frickin' gas-powered leaf blowers. I thought Vancouver had instituted a ban on them but what happened was Council directed staff to study it, who then evaluated Park Board experiences and decided it was "too hard".

I'd mutter "Greenest City" but you would be able to hear me rn.

Vancouver cyclists, the city is looking for feedback on proposed changes to 10th Ave between Fir and Birch (currently a messy area exacerbated by very tight light timing that favours north-south travel). Get your feedback in!

Flipped vehicle crash at Broadway/Granville. Currently it's a 30 km/h construction zone because of the B-way subway.

Once again, I'm on my "if you cause a vehicle to flip in the city, you should lose your license" bent. Yeah, allow appeals, but flipping a vehicle indicates excessive recklessness.

Definitely a violation of so many marine environment protection acts.
Reminder to all our fellow boaters that it is illegal to dump Fraser Institute statistics into open water within three miles of shore.
