Losing NOAA would be devastating. Project 2025 authors want to get rid of it because it monitors climate change, and privatize the information it currently provides for free, so you'll have to buy information about the weather and the winds (imperative for mariners).

After American airspace was closed on 9/11, over 230 flights with 30,000 passengers and crew were diverted to Canadian airports. Transport Canada received thousands of calls from members of the public offering to help the stranded passengers.

Thinking about that today, for no particular reason.

Such soft, weak, gentle lecturing. Foolish offer of compromise. It's like pretending the person who is punching you in the face is just trying to shake hands but keeps missing. "Oh, I really want to shake hands, but you keep punching me, so maybe we can find common ground here and--" *is punched*

Do you think you'll be alerted at the next infectious disease outbreak, listeria outbreak, or other critical issue these health agencies have long warned us about when present? Think again.

This is very Putinesque....and dangerous to all.
New: Trump officials have paused all external communications at health agencies like CDC, FDA, NIH.

No health alerts and the famed MMWRs; no updates to key websites or social media posts.

And no indication how long the pause will last.
