Bernie is a non legislating legislature. He's never built relationships with his peers, which means he's never had any intention of getting anything done. He could be something other than a US Senator, a populist activist maybe, but he wants to do nothing. He is a charlatan at best. An opp at worst.

While watching #BlackBag, I was reminded of the legendary Thin Man franchise, with George and Kathryn as a modern, sleek spy version of Nick and Nora Charles. It made for a fun third act with a mystery payoff and a dynamic I’d love to see more of. cinemababel.com/black-bag-is...

This why people my age hate these kids. The ignorance, the lack of basic bare minimum knowledge about anything. The smug arrogance. The stupid glasses. The ridiculous man bun (hang it up flatscreen). This man is more patient than me. This boy is stupid but thinks he’s smart.

30 years ago, we did. They were called "local newspapers."

Then the Telecom Act of 1996 allowed essentially unlimited corporate consolidation of media outlets and they killed off local news in the space of a single generation.
Imagine if we had a newsroom in every county that focused on municipal meetings.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if you’re thinking of starting a newsroom in your community, you should do it.

A lot of leftwing policies lost support because they were actually tried and they failed pretty bad. Like sorry, but being permissive on crime just straight up did not work. Retooling public education to be more "equitable" has largely been at the expense of the kids.

Does anyone else remember when a leftist on Twitter urged like-minded people to join the gym and he got a ton of "that's pretty ableist!" replies?

I probably joke too much about people who post "ableism" and "sanism" when reacting to posts but that was why.

I think it is because us Millennials had our Grandparents in the picture compared to Gen Z. I am talking about black Grandparents born in the 40s or earlier. They were a critical link to the old ways of doing things.
I think Gen Z might be the first generation to be truly disconnected from the old Black cultural experience (unless they were raised right). These kids don’t know Black classic films, tv, music, imagery, nothing.
