There's a giant abandoned animatronic whale (from the 60's) rotting in a pond in an industrial park 30 minutes outside of Boston. #PleasureIsland

The most cosmic horror thing I think we will live to see is piles and piles of franchise merchandise of 80s & 90s properties, and people dumpster diving over it to sell it to one another. Staring at a pile of trillions of man-hours combined into plastic and acrylic. It meant something to someone.

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑

Property rights would kill the industry. Does that tell you what the industry is, finally??
The latest in a long line of terrible humans seeing if they can destroy people lives before asking if they should. If only sociopaths were seen as bad instead of rewarded.

I don’t like to brag, but by twenty minutes or so into any Columbo episode, I have figured out who the killer is.

I interpret a semi-colon as a period hitching a ride on top of a comma to cross a river. The comma's sitting a little low in the water, swimming gamely with its mobile tail. We are pausing here in the sentence to watch while the two little guys get safely across.

Hi everyone.

The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars.

We are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website.

We have retained the services of some Onion and Clickhole Hall of Famers to pull this off.

I can't wait to show you what we have cooked up.
The Onion Buys Alex Jones’s Infowars Out of Bankruptcy
The satirical news site planned to turn Infowars into a parody of itself, mocking “weird internet personalities” who peddle conspiracy theories and health supplements.

for a fraction of the cost it takes to run chatGPT we could put a computer terminal in every smoky back alley jazz club, and instead of asking a robot all your questions, you could find out what an aging blues musician thinks about it

What is bluesky tweets called? Blue tweets? Tweets? Bweets?.. or Beets?

Don't succumb to doomerism? The arch demon of doom has just submerged my entire house in doom diarrhea. It's in my mouth, nose and ears. But ok, I'll try.

The uncountable hours I spent reading and watching political coverage and at the end I had no idea what world I was living in, I just thought I did. If I'd spent that time reading about, say, birds, I would now know an awful lot about an awful lot of birds.
