As they say on the Internet, 'never not at it'.
1/5 It was entirely predictable that The Telegraph would jump on @DavidOlusoga’s Empire series to fight its right wing culture war for control of our public history. Let’s see what they’ve done:

The idea that Ireland's "vulnerability" is a major headache for EU/NATO strategic planners is simply not factually accurate. I spend a lot of time reading the work of, speaking to, and listening at conferences to these people, and I have literally never heard this mentioned! It's not on their minds!

In Dublin specifically, 27% of tenancies are with landlords who have 100+ tenancies. 27%!

The one property landlords are only 21%. Don't give me this "mom and pop fleeing the market" guff. Mom and pop don't own hundreds of properties.

Another anti-Occupied Territories Bill piece in the Irish Times that studiously avoids facing up to the International Court of Justices rulings. Hey, never even mentions the place.

That takes serious effort. Pity the Times publishes the stuff.
Anti Occupied Territories Bill latest avoids any mention of ICJ: ‘Will Ireland risk its financial security in its determination to punish Israel with a Bill which achieves nothing more than performative self-congratulation and an appeal to the anti-Israel frenzy?’

Opinion: A McCarthyite fervour has overtaken Ireland where Israel is concerned
The issue I have is not that Ireland is pro-Palestinian - its people’s rights and future must be protected - but that it is so aggressively anti-Israel

This is absolutely depraved!

No citizenship if you receive social benefit is disgusting, but also if you have debt?!

Have a credit card? Need a loan for a car? Lucky enough to qualify for a mortgage?
No citizenship for you

What if this was the same for Irish abroad?

This, from the Guardian, is Ryanair at its very worst.

It's not good enough for them to insist that they're a low-cost airline and everyone knows the rules, in circumstances like this...

I wonder if legislation is needed?

The Irish Times published and lauded John Collison's op-ed, but did they fact-check it?

Andrew Jackson did. Thoroughly.

If you spent time reading the original, you'd want to give time to this counterpoint as well.
