"...you could go up to a stranger on the street and say, 'I am inconsolably lonely,' and he might take you home with him and introduce you to his family and ask you to stay for dinner But that wouldn't help. Because loneliness is not a longing for company, it is a longing for kind."

Millions of Americans remain at jobs they hate for one reason: the health insurance they receive. That’s absurd.

Universal health care will give Americans the freedom to choose the work they want without worrying about health care coverage.

Another reason for Medicare for All.

Please stop saying "That's not who we are as a country."

Obviously it IS who we are at the moment.

Instead, try saying "That's not who we SHOULD be."
Jason Crow: "I did three combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. I saw the unedited video of that double tap strike in early September that killed survivors. It was gutting to me because there was just no justification for that second strike. That's not who we are as a country."

If you think switching which corporate owned legacy media outlet you consume is the solution, you don't really understand how deep the problem is. It's not just ABS, CBS, WaPo or the LA Times. It's the system in which they work.

The only solution is to support pro-democracy independent media.

Hey! Remember when Barr (Bondi) withheld the Mueller (Epstein) documents for weeks so he (she) could mischaracterize what was in the Mueller (Epstein) Report and spin the findings for three weeks and then over-redact them? I sure do!

Exactly. I never dreamed there were sooooo many soulless people willing to debase and degrade the service of honorable men while deifying the current lawless president.

She would be great.
She would be great. Great. She's the strongest leader and most effective voice in the Democratic Party at the moment. She is what the future of American politics looks like and that is a good thing for the country.
The Democrats’ rising star is making a strong showing in a hypothetical 2028 presidential matchup against Vice President JD Vance.

THEY ARE NOT SELLING "HEALTHCARE".

Healthcare is what doctors, nurses, physical therapists etc provide.

Healthcare Insurance is profit-driven BUSINESS.
Scalise: "Everybody complains, 'Why when I watch TV do I see this Gecko lizard & emu & all these animals out there selling car insurance & homeowners insurance? Why aren't they selling healthcare?' That's bc federal laws prohibit people to have choices for lower cost products for health insurance"

There are several videos of Tina Peters being arrested in a bagel shop for refusing to comply with a search warrant after she lied to a judge (in court) about recording a hearing. Some of them show her trying to kick an officer.

Classy much, GOP?
President Trump spoke publicly about Colorado's Tina Peters for the first time since issuing her a so-called "pardon."

Trump did not mention the pardon but did make several false claims about Peters' case.

We unpack them one by one.

I believe this about society - when mores decree certain behaviour to be undesirable then it becomes unacceptable, but people need validation to take a stand against it.
How do people develop moral convictions?
New research finds that collective action moralizes attitudes because it politicizes their identity and enrages them about an immoral outgroup.
Moralization, in turn, helps to better understand sustained movement participation. psycnet.apa.org/record/2025-...

Pete Hegseth’s entire personality is “overcompensating for a tiny dick.”

But his behavior with regards to the boat bombings is next level pathetic.

An analysis, including his personal history.

Hegseth's "warrior ethos" is cowardice
He calls himself the "Secretary of War" and plays a tough guy on TV, but in real life he's a major weenie

RAJU: If defenseless survivors were killed, would that constitute a violation of the laws of war?

MIKE JOHNSON: I'm not going to prejudge any of that. I was pretty busy yesterday. I didn't follow a lot of the news.

In other words, just ignore the "Establishment Clause".
Just like they pick and choose parts of the Holy Bible to support their tenets.
Not often that newsletters feature this kind of valuable reporting. Important work here. Follow the theology…
1st preacher at Hegseth's monthly Pentagon prayer services was his former pastor in Doug Wilson's denomination. Preachers since then: 3 Southern Baptist pastors, a grandson of Billy Graham, & a former NFL player accused of insider trading:

These two represent the ideal future of politics.
Members of Congress should be banned from ever becoming lobbyists.

PERIOD.

That’s why I’m leading an effort with @ocasio-cortez.house.gov to enact that exact prohibition into law.

Remember: If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game.

The greatest enemy of positive social change is cynicism about what can be changed.
