Hey @loonybinpodcast.bsky.social, around all the hubbub of the MLS season shift, it occurs to me that no one I've seen has yet taken the opportunity to create a catchy name for the freakish abbreviated season we're going to see in early 2027.

I’m so bummed about this. I love this team but I don’t do well with the cold weather games. My favorite times to watch soccer in Minnesota are May/June/July. We have loved being season ticket holders for 10 years but this upcoming season will be our last. #MNUFC

The statement from MNUFC is insulting. This is a marketing disaster in a small market that has such a small summer weather window. Many of us will no longer be season ticket holders -- unless they reduce the price.

MNUFC fan here. Do they want to murder 20 percent of the league? Because that’s what they’re doing. Home games in this state are a nonstarter from Thanksgiving to late March. I hope Mcguire can sue them if this goes through.
