I really need to practice saying “what a weird, rude thing to say” to the people who say weird, rude things to me
I got the flu a couple of months ago despite having had my annual flu jab (I took a test so it def was the flu and not Covid or a cold).
It seemed to be less severe and I recovered more quickly than my child who had not had a flu vaccination.

Some vaccines like COVID and flu don’t stop completely stop infection.
But they do reduce the risk of getting infected and greatly reduce severe illness risk.
They are still worth getting.
Since they are not 100% effective it’s also wise to add another layer of protection by wearing a mask.

Related: People I know IRL who know what I do for a living often ask what they need to know about online safety for their about-to-be-teenagers, and there's a lot of answers, but the thing I always emphasize most is: under no circumstances should you ever threaten to take access away from them.
And a lot of you post the photos but put an emoji sticker over the kid's face or whatever: that is really, really, really not sufficient to prevent people from doing things with them you do not want to know about. Do not post photos of your kids online, period.

Love big earrings (pierced), also rings (usually chunky). Leaning more towards gold than silver these days but either is fine. Plastic also good.
