Watching the videos of Syrian prisoners liberated, I’m reminded of the videos of Lebanese prisoners being freed from Khiam after Israel left Lebanon, and I hope for the day we see Palestinian prisoners walking out of Sde Teiman, Ketziot, Ofer, Gilboa, Damon, Megiddo, Petah Tikva.

I'm old enough to remember someone from South Africa warning that the end of the apartheid state could spread Nazi ideas in Western countries in a diaspora effect, and I thought it was ridiculous. I wish I remembered who it was, but they specifically said "some of these guys are really, really rich"

This is a very popular trope used to prove the evil of the Palestinian cause. The problem is that “eradicating Israel” in Palestinian parlance means ending the occupation, it’s only in Zionist parlance that “eradicating Israel” equals a genocide against Jews.

This is why “humans are bad for nature” is an unscientific stance when it comes to conservation. It’s not the presence of people that’s the problem. It’s colonialism and extractive relationships with nature. Those aren’t universal practices.
