To repeat: I have studied a lot of cases of autocratization over the past 15 years. Wrote about them, taught about them, consulting about them.

I do not recall an opposition so apathetic, ignorant, and inept as the @democrats.org. They cling to their power, rather than fight for democracy. Shame.

Congrats to Michelle Wu for beating Josh Kraft 72 to 23 and winning every ward and neighborhood!

Glad to see her absolutely crush him in every South End precinct despite his gross attempt to capitalize on Mass & Cass, for which he offered nothing.

Many media types and Dems continue to operate as if Trump is a politically invincible figure, a "Teflon Don." But in truth he's becoming an increasingly weak, failing, diminished, unpopular, naked-emperor figure, and it's time to treat him as such. 1/

Trump Is a Weak and Failing President, and It’s Time to Say So
It’s possible for Trump to be an inept buffoon—but still extremely dangerous. And it shouldn’t be so hard to make that case.

This is heinous and Gowdy should be out of a job for saying it
Fox News' Trey Gowdy: "The only thing that can give us any modicum of peace at all is those two children are with the person who loved them the very most, the person who created them, that being Jesus. That is the only thing that can possibly give parents in the future any modicum of peace."

People need to stand up and call out these cowardly acts like the AG is doing.
The announcement from the University of Michigan that they will no longer provide their transgender patients with all of the healthcare options available is shameful, dangerous, and potentially illegal.

unironically bring back the works progress administration and federal art project one
my unironic arch opinions is that building design peaked during the Art Deco era
Photo I took of the Federal Trafe Commission building in DC last weekend. Built in 1938.

Since we seem to be reliving the 1930’s again, Art Deco would be on brand.

57 people by my count a good number of them trans people asked the city council tonight to support a simple resolution affirming this place is safe for them. And they fuckin didn’t. Didn’t condemn the republican member of the committee who tied it up. They blamed the audience for being angry.

Councilor Colorio is frankly a coward. Hiding behind a procedural motion to avoid taking a vote on a key resolution that would save lives. Worcester didn’t raise me to be a coward, and I don’t think one should be serving in office.
