Yeah this is very unseemly to bring up, it’s driven by that culture, but ultimately being his wife gave her a special kind if status within that world and now she’s at risk of losing her relevance, so some of this is self preservation and some of it is ambition but it’s all looks ugly to outsiders.

Just walking home in 98 F sunny humid heat, imagining how pleasant this walk would've been in 2000's climate and how nightmarish it'll be in 2050. Our 1.5 C world can see heatwaves up to 8 F hotter than they should be. Don't ask about the 3 C world we're heading for.
