We walked an hour in Puyallup, WA to go to the cat café and then a sphynx named Fluff purred and cuddled on me for 45 minutes. Part of the walk didn’t have sidewalks, and the rest of the walk was along a loud stroad, but it was worth it. Very sweet cat. We’ll take the bus back to the hotel.

My most woke opinion is that cities should completely ignore suburban commuters and design the city we aspire to be. They’ll either begrudgingly commute in by car, mode shift, or be replaced by others in foot traffic
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

I have always wanted to learn to play bassoon. What a joyful and fun instrument. I played violin for nearly two decades, through college, through the pandemic but my shoulder hurts too much to play that now. Sadly bassoons are expensive to rent or buy. Maybe one will pop up on FB Buy Nothing lol.

Hmm, wonder whose stop this is? 🧐 (it’s mine, and I can’t believe they actually let the sign say that, I was expecting it to just say “anonymous” like many others)

Wonder if Shaffer is now glad the Hennepin Starbucks closed after all so she doesn’t have to comment on the strike 😅

Ward 7’s downtown commercial to housing conversion queen keeps on delivering!! 👑
So happy to support an affordable housing trust fund award to trellis for their adaptive reuse of the flour exchange building in ward 7. More housing coming downtown in a former office, a beautiful building right by city hall!

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

What a day to be a University of Minnesota employee, an M Health Fairview patient, a University of Minnesota alumni, and a resident of Minnesota. The PR war is fully waged! A great partnership! A hostile takeover! You be the judge!

Incredible set of emails sent out to UMN faculty and staff in the health sciences this morning where leadership essentially shit on Keith Ellison and call the Fairview/UMP agreement “akin to a hostile takeover.” I don’t even think they were this fired up about all the federal grant $ we’ve lost!

I’ve lived to see another week (and another three vendor risk reports and office of general counsel contract review forms 🤢).

I will never understand how or why my supervisor has done this job for 20 years. Oh wait, the health insurance premium is $19/paycheck…
The university’s purchasing process will be the death of me.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.
