Anyone else have go to writing/editing albums? For me it's Rodion's Generator and Etienne Jaumet's La Visite. Reliably gets my brain waves synced up in just the right way. Almost never listen to them in any other context.

Not to be too blunt about it, but this cluster hire will to a large extent shape the next two decades at the Beinecke. If you think you've got the juice, give it a squeeze!

Just finished my second time through @harkaway.bsky.social's Angelmaker. Nine years since the first, and I love it still. If you haven't picked it up, do so. Especially archivist types - you could describe it as a meditation on the need for Tommy Guns in appraisal theory.

I've been manning the Manuscript Palisade for decades at this point. Made a few site visits to the Evil Clusterfuck Camp in my day, but thankfully never as a long term assignment.

Just finished a listen/re-listen to all 10 PJ Harvey albums. What an incredible hit rate. So many to love, and really only one that doesn't land with me.
