Respectfully & from the bottom of my heart, if you think anything in the world could justify this, you’re a monster or an idiot or some impressive combination of both.
Razed to dust, this is what Israel's apocalyptic erasure of Northern Gaza looks like. Palestinians are "returning" to nuclear-scale desolation.

Another mixed media #painting I did a few years ago. "Talbot St and Connolly" was painted because that street was one of my favourite streets when I was a kid and I still get a buzz walking along it today. Apart from its atmosphere I really like the visual mishmash of it. #SpeirGorm #ArtYear

Apple TV is free this weekend and that means you can watch Dickinson, which is such a unique and delightful show that I will tag #poetry so the poets see this, too.

A man, concepts of a plan, a canal, Panama
Trump wants the Panama Canal back. Anyone who thought he was just joking about Canada doesn’t understand his obsession with territorial expansion.

If the stencil for the bike lane can’t fit in the bike lane without running into the gutter, your bike lane isn’t wide enough.

The MUTCD doesn’t set a standard for lane width or whether the gutter included. It’s left to the traffic engineer’s judgement. We need more traffic engineers out on bikes.

This MAGA-wearing "white power"-gesturing motherfucker is Angelo Isadoro, the executive director of the BC Conservatives.

If you vote for John Rustad & the BC Conservatives, you're voting for this motherfucker & his hateful agenda too.

Vote NDP. David Eby is NOT John Horgan.

With the new book coming out, I've been thinking about a rewatch of Lost. I also like reading along with the old AV Club reviews, but the old comments have been recently wiped out. Disqus still has the pre-Kinja comments archived and with some API work I was able to get a list. A mega-thread: 🧵
