Medicaid covers...

-40% of births nationwide
-50% of kids with special needs
-72 million people in total

Remember this as Republicans move to gut the program to finance tax cuts that will overwhelmingly go to the richest 1% of Americans.

This is how you stop ICE! Don’t obey in advance! If anyone needs proof they aren’t just “taking criminals” here it is. This man’s neighbors fought for him. He’s known them for more than a decade. The lie that they are taking violent criminals needs to stop now! They’re cruel & not protecting us!
ICE tries to detain man, neighbors form human chain to protect him
Neighbors delivered food, water and gasoline to the man, who was with a child in a van, as ICE agents stayed at the home for hours.

PoiLIEvre is being deceitful. Just like with his clearance, he’s procrastinating, hoping enough Canadians won’t notice
But suppose PP’s plan is Project 2025. He won’t announce it until after 28/4. The cost? Death of 🇨🇦 as we know it. Don’t take a chance. Vote Liberal. Carney has a plan & 🇨🇦’s freedom
Poilievre going hard on Liberal fiscal mismanagement and deficits is beyond rich when the CPC STILL haven't released a costed platform. He's been gunning for an election for MONTHS, bragging about all his "policy". Yet here we are, empty slogans and STILL nothing. It's a JOKE really. #cdnpoli

‘If fear is the goal, then solidarity is the antidote.'
As nonprofits face the threat of being Trump's next target, the lesson from teachers, students and unions is that standing together is the only way forward, writes @daniel-hunter.bsky.social.

I cannot imagine how much this will cost taxpayers, compared to the massive amounts of funding and staff being stripped and fired from the NIH, FDA, CDC, NEA, NEH, CFPB, State Department, and total destruction of USAID.
ICE officers are now reportedly required to meet arrest quotas each day, from a few hundred to between 1,200 and 1,500 nationwide. Jonathan Blitzer reports on the mystery of the agency’s unidentifiable arrests.

In early March, the agency announced that it had arrested forty-eight people in New Mexico—a month later, their identities and whereabouts remain unknown.

i will remark again on this hallmark of maga politics, which is that trump embodies the organic will of the voters and this imbues him with sovereign power that cannot be checked or limited by any other institution in the society.
We must dissolve the Supreme Court and give Donald Trump unlimited powers. Or else we will have a dictatorship.

This is incredibly cool: if you search for a condition that’s affected your family, the site returns stats on how much NIH has done for that disease, *and* a contact form for reaching out to tell your Members of Congress why you want to see them defend NIH.

Pass it on!

Trump's tariffs are a devastating wound to both Trump & to the Republican "brand" on the economy. Perceptions of the economy may have swung the last election. Dems should absolutely focus on this. Abrego Garcia's case has set up a constitutional crisis & is a precursor to fascism. Focus on that too.

People spend a lot of time wondering why the left is worse at using independent media to control the national narrative.

A useful exercise is to ask why the left is also worse at selling snake oil and pyramid schemes, because I think the reasons are basically exactly the same.
