That doesn’t surprise me.
I mean, this bubble has to burst soon, right? The sooner the people pumping money into these slop generators lose everything, the better for everyone.

WTF? LLMs aren’t AI, and the conmen and shysters responsible for peddling this nonsense will doubtless all be up against the wall once this ridiculous bubble bursts, assuming any tech survives now that RAM chips are essentially unavailable.

I can’t tell if it’s the author of the article, or actually part of the research, but LLMs have NO mapping to “meaning” as implied in the article. No semantics. It’s just a neural net driven Markov chain; statistically likely text with no meaning or understanding.

This nonsense has been pissing me off for a while now. Badly mistranslated, uninflected, inaccurate robot voices. I hadn’t seen the “accent removal” AI before (it’s racist “convert all world English accents to uninflected General American”)

I mean, of course, if I think about it, Beavis and Butt-Head are Gen X, but the median age of MTV viewers being 56 feels wrong.

In case you can't tell what just happened, JK Rowling instructed her followers to take photos of anyone in a women's restroom who doesn't match their idea of Western feminine beauty standards. Short hair? Thick cheekbones/jaw? Too tall or broad-shouldered? You're now "a man" and will be harassed.
If you're still buying wizard book shit, you are no friend to the trans community. Here's the wizard book bigot inciting harassment against innocent people to her 14 million followers on the nazi app.

Actually, this isn’t true. No such play or movie was ever produced.
'Gaslighting' comes from the title of a 1938 play and the movies based on that play.

Whole thread. Seriously, if you don't care what the setting looks like and don't think it's worth spending time on, then why make your reader spend time on it? Just skip to what you *do* care about.
The choices the author makes are big parts of what makes a book interesting. It's part of what makes your authorial voice. Authors like this tell me they don't actually know what they're doing and I shouldn't waste my time. It's your voice and your creativity that I'm interested in. 3/
