Dear Writers,

We’ve all read your dystopian nightmares: Handmaids Tale, 1984,Fahrenheit 451 etc. Project25/26 seem to be based on them. Humans like horror. You warned & scared us.

Now can we please have some How To Build a Great Future books? Or at least some how to triumph over these weirdos?

HERE: Just now, Trump admits it: “A lot of good can come from a shutdown. We can get rid of a lot of things that we didn’t want, and they’d be democrat things.”

I don’t want federal tax dollars wasted on a non-government or military flight like this. Kirk was a civilian and made a lot of money off his hate speech. Let the family charter a PJ to transport his remains.

Yes. I am. Next question.

This thread gave me a great idea. I’m going to cancel my Paramount subscription & buy a PBS Passport subscription instead. 😁👍
A donation of as little as $5 a month to PBS gives you access to the PBS Passport app and there is SO much good content to stream there. Best $5 I spend.
So do i have to become a pbs donor now?

In the Star Wars saga, there are two sides in the conflict:
One obsessed with massing absolute power in an effort to rule under threat of destruction & the resistance who stand against it.
Pick a side.

This is the whole point. Essentially disable the VA through staffing cuts and canceled contracts so that they can use delay of care and other issues to justify pushing it out to private institutions where they will profit.

Do you see?

Closing rural post offices will do the same thing that closing rural schools has done: Empty out rural towns.

Why? To sell off farmland for rock bottom prices to the oligarchs. Water and mineral rights and CAFOs polluting with impunity.

It’s been the plan for decades.

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.
Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow
As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy

Not the first person to make this observation, but it's so striking how the media covered the crack epidemic as a problem caused by black/urban drug users and the fentanyl epidemic as a problem imposed externally on white/rural drug users.

Stop fucking saying he blamed “DEI,” which is some abstract, non-tangible idea. He is blaming people of color having jobs he thinks they aren’t qualified for. He’s blaming race. He’s being racist every time he says it. Journalists need to get fucking backbones, my word.
