Post WW2 GOP had a grand unifying vision of policy. Today’s GOP is just policy stapled together that is at odds with each other policy.

SCOTUS tries to unify but even they betray the working class part by always favoring billionaires

MTG good bye video and letter basically sum up the white person view point.

Want lower costs and no immigration and super conservative social values.

Basically three irreconcilable ideologies.

To be honest I think most businesses and msm don’t really fear Dems and fear Trump.

Both Obama and Biden didn’t really do anything to the businesses or msm that colluded with the administrations before them. I would fear Dems either to be honest

One thing 2024 cured me of was the idea that businesses were rational profit making machines.

They would rather grovel under Trump and make less money than have accountability and higher profits under Harris.

People who think like this are completely unserious.

I get dems not doing something you want being a reason to be mad. I feel that.

But acting like Dems have fumbled after a generational election performance is stupid
🤬 How Are Democrats This Dumb!?

@petertwinklage.bsky.social is back with today's 'First Draft' on liberals fumbling what should have been their best week of the Trump era, calls for “hooligan Halligan” to be disbarred, and Nicki Minaj addressing the United Nations?

Everything goes back to people who thought Trump could “fix” the economy.

If you asked them about it they would say “he’s a business man” or just shrugged.

Thats the electorate Dems were dealing with in 2024

Here's what worries the Fed (and me!): The unemployment rate is slowly drifting up. This is a clear sign of an unhealthy economy. And it's happening slowly enough that it hasn't attracted many headlines. But it really matters.
November 20, 2025 at 1:56 PM
It’s kinda funny. If Trump didn’t do tariffs people would be pretending the economy is great.
A relief, and good news: September's jobs report was (finally!) released, and it shows a relatively healthy labor market.

Payrolls +119k, a bit stronger than expected, and definitely well above recession territory.

The unemployment rate rose a tick to 4.4%, continuing a slow but worrying trend.

Remember when people said Charlie Kirk dying was gonna tip the 2025 elections to the GOP….

Anyways Jay Jones beat Harris margins in VA

My long term guess is that generic ballot polling is going to underestimate Dems.

What’s ironic about him saying this is that on average blue states are much healthier than red states
Markwayne Mullin: "Reward people for being healthy. Think about this. Healthcare is the only industry that you're not rewarded for taking care of your responsibility. If you think about homeowners insurance, if you're within 500 feet of a fire hydrant, your insurance goes down."

fwiw the R vote share in this poll is consistent with consensus.

The difference between this poll and other polls is that they pushed leaners and leaners essentially all broke Dem.

that doesn’t seem all that unrealistic to me right now

AtlasIntel is gonna release a shitass poll like 5 days before the election that shows the GCB as R+1 and like half this site is gonna have a complete meltdown despite knowing better
Anyway I’m sure we will have a *lot* of angst in the run up and who knows about the senate; and there’ll be multiple “ARE DEMS BLOWING IT???” stories in Oct 2026 and a string of “Ah but Trump could steal it!” stories but realistically, the Dems won the 2026 midterms the day Trump won the 2024 GE

The fact that GW Bush has high ratings now than Biden shows how memory is easily warped.

Like GW Bush 2000’s sucked.
November 19, 2025 at 2:37 PM
The GOP and Trump have no plans. They are like the Joker. They are trying to own libs and if their own voters get hurt so be it.

They just wake up and make decisions and hope they still win elections
November 19, 2025 at 2:33 PM
The 2025 polls were bad. There were like a few that stood out as good, but yeah most sucked bad.

In fairness both VA and NJ weren’t like previous years and therefore made predictions harder.
November 19, 2025 at 2:19 PM
I think Marist tends to oversample college educated voters and probably is overestimating Dem support.

That said, seeing how poorly the 2025 polls performed his might be correcting the anti-Dem bias seen in those

I just blocked someone for crapping on Harris for campaigning with Cheney

Don’t have time for that

Hours after Speaker Mike Johnson confidently declared that Senate Republicans would "fix" Thomas Massie's bill requiring release of the Epstein files, the Senate just passed the bill as is by unanimous consent without any changes. A massive, embarrassing debacle for Johnson.

It now goes to Trump...

Unfortunately Dems were never gonna win the shut down in the eyes of Dems.

They basically want everything to stop but don’t realize Dems are powerless.
Among Dems - "Do you think Democrats need to be more or less combative against Trump than they are now?"

More combative: 85%
Less combative: 10%
