LLMs simply cannot generate that much code for a game that's more complex than a solitaire clone in a coherent and functional way. You'd spend months debugging and rewriting that mess.

In the Treasure game Guardian Heroes, if your character's level goes beyond 255, it overflows and you'll level up on almost every hit, getting seemingly random stats every time. Sometimes you'll level up into ridiculously low HP and die right away.

Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.

If you’re in the games business, and somehow (as often happens) your company somehow is now focused on something else (AI, XR, “IP,” acquisitions, etc.) you’re in for a period of struggle. Everyone will wonder what’s wrong. But you know. It’s about games. Gameplay.

A lot of the business failures of the games industry are really rooted in this desire to create a product that dominates the market. The recent Amazon thing really highlights that: they wanted to create a product that outperformed Steam, but they didn't understand Steam or what the audience wanted.
