social media bans are not the solution to toxic tech platforms

and they hurt the most vulnerable kids

lgbtqia kids are NOT acceptable collateral damage

to stop these companies, kill their toxic business model at source

(e.g. Netherlands just required non-algo feeds)

everything else is theatre.
The people who came to Brianna's vigil were the many friends, as an isolated trans girl, she had made on social media. The people who were convicted of her murder knew her in real life, and used transphobic slurs to discuss her.

This is huge: For the first time since the early 1970s, coal power generation has fallen in both China & India.

It undercuts claims that decarbonisation is pointless while they expand coal. Renewables are no longer just adding capacity — they’re displacing coal.

Putin has claimed Ukrainian defenders in Kupiansk were surrounded by russian troops.
He even invited international media there to verify it.

President Zelenskyy did some mythbusting, visiting the city.

Kupiansk is Ukraine.

This spectacular @thetimes.com screw-up deserves much wider attention. It’s the second bullshit story that the “paper of record” has deleted in a week after Monday’s attempted hatchet job on @torstenbell.bsky.social. A sad descent for a once serious paper

Imagine being so insecure that, before going in to a meeting with President Xi, you have to order conspicuous displays of nuclear capability.

Sabre rattling at its most reckless. So vain, so stunted, so stupid.

With an ally of Nigel Farage pleading guilty to taking bribes for making pro-Russian statements, it’s clear we need an in-depth investigation into Russian money in our politics.

Today I asked the Prime Minister whether he would back an investigation.

Tory MP and "rising star" Katie Lam supports the mass deportation of families who came to the UK legally — a policy so unprecedented it has been compared with Idi Amin's expulsion of Asians.

But did you know Lam has drawn sartorial, as well as policy, inspiration from the brutal Ugandan dictator?

In the 44 years he’s owned Neptoon Records in Vancouver, Rob Frith has bought a lot of random music collections. But only one of them contained original recordings of the Beatles from 1962.
