I don't appreciate all the end of year stuff being done now, the year isn't over yet, give December some respect. Looking at you Spotify.

Trump really does just believe the last person he spoke to, doesn't he?
Reporter to Trump: Would you feel comfortable living in NYC under a Mamdani mayoralty?

Trump: "I would. I really would. Especially after the meeting, absolutely."

The whole 'popularism' thing is mostly just a motte and bailey argument. You make a bunch of specific policy recommendations and then retreat to the generic idea of moderation and doing popular things when challenged.

They've gentrified him! Give him his cone back!
The famous cone on the Duke Of Wellington statue has been replaced with a pigeon reading a newspaper - and the pigeon has a tiny cone hat.

One weird take I've seen about One Battle After Another is criticising it for mocking land acknowledgements. Its worth noting that the one instance of it is when Bob is asking where the guy on the hotline is...

Love when letterboxd does a special little thing when you review a particular film. It happens just rarely enough to surprise you.

I don't think I've ever been so baffled by the popularity of a film as I have with K-Pop Demon Hunters. Genuinely woeful, feels like a weak first draft of a script.

Honestly I think very few of our big pop stars will be forgotten over time, the modern music industry massively incentivises growing a big passionate fandom and you can't really coast on radio play and be fairly anonymous. No way Swift isn't still well known 50-60 years from now.
I think Taylor Swift is going to be forgotten by history to a shocking degree. She's going to be one of those names you'll see scrolling through old top 40 rankings going "the number one was who for how long?!?"

There's a feeling that Charlie Brown had hoes
'There’s a feeling too that the Orange Order has acted in good faith and in the spirit of One Scotland Many Cultures; that they’ve moved into those values and helped advance Scotland’s reputation as an inclusive, diverse and tolerant nation' || Kevin McKenna 👇

Reading the replies to this reminds me of judging debate competitions where sometimes you'd just get these massive mismatches in arguing ability. Idk if I buy the claim that LLMs have some level of awareness but wow the opposition are doing a real bad job of rebutting it.

Putting the specifics aside I do like that sometimes world leaders go to conferences and do bits, bet he was chuckling to himself as he cooked this up on the plane there.
PM of Albania having a good laugh with President of Azerbaijan and Macron about Trump repeatedly claiming that he ended the war between their two countries which were not at war with each other.

Both the far left and the centre left are now indistinguishable from the worst caricatures they make about each other.

Over 20,000 people had already signed up, with the standard rate being £55 per annum. These are set to be cancelled.

Depends a lot on how strict the criteria is for food being from a particular place. If its a looser definition then D is the obvious answer, as Indian, Chinese and various Southeast Asian cuisines are common enough that you won't struggle too much to find stuff to eat wherever you go.
For the rest of your life, you can only eat food from one of these regions. Which do you choose?
