Four more albums, not much to say about any of them

#398 Bill Callahan - Apocalypse
#397 Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti
#396 Lambchop - Is A Woman
#395 Ian Dury - New Boots and Panties!!
October 3, 2025 at 7:04 PM
#399 Richard Dawson - Peasant

A series of stories set in the middle ages, this is very cool

#400 (!) Nina Simone - Wild is the Wind

I'm really not best placed to appreciate an album like this, since I usually listen to these while doing something else, and even when I focus on the lyrics I am quite bad at actually making them out, but still I found it interesting.

#401 The United States of America - The United States of America

Good stuff

#402 De La Soul - De La Soul is dead

Very few rap albums on this list, but this one slaps
September 17, 2025 at 6:42 PM
#403 T-Rex - Electric Warrior

OK, but only Get it On really stood out
September 17, 2025 at 6:39 PM
#404 David Bowie - Diamond Dogs

Not my favourite Bowie album, but still pretty damn good.
September 17, 2025 at 6:35 PM
#405 Suicide - Suicide

A bit too experimental for my taste
September 17, 2025 at 6:34 PM
#406 Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra - Nancy & Lee

Nice enough, but kinda feels like a weird inclusion on the list tbh
September 17, 2025 at 6:31 PM
#407 The Kinks - Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire)

Good to know people also thought things were going to pot here when my parents were toddlers. Another banger.

#408 Daft Punk - Discovery

Really good album

Yeah I still have it as my pfp, in my defence there just hasn't been a better photo of me in five years and also I was on University Challenge and I want you to know about it.

#409 Kacey Musgraves - Golden Hour

I think this *might* be the first album on the list I've heard before, as my dad played it a few times when it first came out. It's good! Musgraves has such a nice voice.
August 28, 2025 at 7:36 PM
#410 Gillian Welch - Soul Journey

Similar to the last Welch album I listened to, I liked it.
August 27, 2025 at 4:19 PM
#411 Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon

I find it odd that, despite how iconic the album is, I hadn't really heard any of these songs before. It took a while for me to warm to it but it clicked by the end.

#412 Sisters of Mercy - First and Last and Always

Great album, also the band is from Leeds so that's cool
August 27, 2025 at 4:15 PM
Gromit! Where's me cracker barrel?!
August 22, 2025 at 8:39 PM
#413 The Doors - LA Woman

Didn't get much out of it tbh
August 21, 2025 at 7:44 PM
#414 Black Sabbath - Paranoid

Absolute banger, RIP Ozzy
August 21, 2025 at 7:43 PM
#415 The Clash - The Clash

I guess I've discovered I like punk rock? Seems out of character for me but whatever
August 20, 2025 at 9:20 AM
#416 The Rolling Stones - Aftermath

Really misogynist, unpleasant to listen to
August 20, 2025 at 9:20 AM
This week's albums

#420 One Dove - Morning Dove White (a bit too carefully poised for my taste)
#419 Herbie Hancock - Head Hunters (funky)
#418 REM - Lifes Rich Pageant (good)
#417 The Four Tops - Reach Out (ok but kinda of its time)
