Not a critique of Tom at all, but how quickly we’ve acculturated ourselves to a world where the president publicly orders an investigation, and his AG salutes in plain sight. The corpse of the post-Watergate era is well and truly rotted through.
Instead of just releasing the Epstein files, Trump ordered the DOJ to investigate Democrats and AG Pam Bondi is complying.
Are they setting up a pretext to block the release by arguing the files are now part of an active investigation? I’m not saying that would work, but he’s desperate to block.

One doesn't have to squint very hard to see a bit of defensiveness about these rich guys who lead pretty soft lives and had pretty soft upbringings regarding their "manliness," and it's manifesting in ways that hurts everybody but them.
I’m sorry, but a goofy looking guy who grew up a privileged son of a pediatrician and has a phd in social theory from the university of Goethe and started in tech by investing an inheritance left to him by his grandfather talking about being a “dude” is very, very funny to me.

It is *obscene* that that beast wearing the skin of a man called Elon Musk was just awarded a trillion dollar pay-package after he personally signed the death warrant of hundreds of thousands of innocents earlier this year.
I helped make a film, out this week, called “Rovina’s Choice,” about the deaths this man without conscience or accountability has caused — already 600,000, ⅔ of them children.
