We’ve lost Drew Struzan. A modern master, who by all accounts was a humble, sweet, loving, dedicated man. His work influenced culture itself, & we’ll be seeing that influence until the end of the modern world. What a legacy. What a body of work. May he rest well, & may his memory be a blessing.

In 2004, Parisian police were conducting a training exercise in the french catacombs and found, after moving past a desk and a tape playing audio of snarling dogs, a fully functional movie theater and bar. When they returned 3 days later, the equipment was gone, with a note: “Do not try to find us.”

It’s not psychologically sustainable to spend every waking minute both terrified and embarrassed. It’s like being a civilian in Gotham when the villain on a tear is the fucking Clock King.

The reason we have rules of engagement isn’t to keep warfighters from killing our enemies.

It’s to keep them from killing a farmer with a shovel bc they thought it was a rifle and didn’t bother to wait to check.

Or a family in a car bc the driver looked nervous.

Or a boat full of fishermen.
Hegseth: "We unleash overwhelming and punishing violence on the enemy. We also don't fight with stupid rules of engagement. We untie the hands of our warfighters to intimidate, demoralize, hunt, and kill the enemies of our country. No more politically correct and overbearing rules of engagement."

There was a kid at my church who would confidently tell you that they stopped teaching cursive so that nobody could read the Constitution anymore and The Left would make up what was in it.
The Trump regime has removed sections 9 and 10 of the constitution from its website, which include Habeas Corpus, congressional appropriations, and other states rifhts constitution.congress.gov/constitution/

More and more of our Predators are becoming emotionally attached to AI. Here's what that means for the future of dating:
‘PREDATOR: BADLANDS’ officially follows a Predator and a Weyland-Yutani android teaming up.

In theaters on November 7.

The assault on student rights to free speech continues unabated

Student newspapers at high school & college levels are being suppressed by thin-skinned administrators afraid of criticism by their students

It’s time to show up and speak up

Polygon was great, and it sucks that people in charge of it would rather hollow it out than let it keep being great.

a good day to rewatch this and appreciate the mastery
it's been nearly 30 years since I first heard this remix DJ Shadow put out that incorporated a bunch of dialogue from 'Heat' into his track "Stem" and I am happy to find out that someone out there did the inevitable and made a dialogue-matching sync of it for YouTube

Clearly the best way to stand in the way of Tulsi Gabbard's confirmation is to return the Rogue Squadron movie to production and offer her the plum role of Ysanne Isard.

There was a display of lighters at the gas station checkout, one of which had an image of a gas pump on it, which is maybe the worst thing you can put on a lighter?
