The most annoying facet of AI marketing is people like this braying in your face that it's here to stay because their stock portfolio demands it. Meanwhile actual tech innovation is getting kneecapped because AI made ram cost $5000 🙄
I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.

People love to romanticize the lack of supervision many of us had. In my case it wasn't some bucolic childhood ideal, it was bad parenting.

A dingleberry on the butt of the city, leftover by that turd, former mayor Fed Wheeler.
Hopefully this scandal is the paper that finally wipes Ryan away so we can actually make progress in PDX.

The city of Portland routinely acts as if sheltering our unhoused population, and creating affordable housing is an insurmountable task; I suppose it is when you’re sitting in $106 MILLION DOLLARS that is earmarked for just that.
