Q: Who is this loan for?
A: Everyone. But especially immortal wizards and vampires; people who think “100” sounds like a nice round number; and us, your lender, who will be collecting interest on this loan until you turn to dust. www.mcsweeneys.net/articles/faq...

An oldie but a goodie, one of the first #Murderbot fan art pieces I ever made! A faux pulp novel cover with our favorite construct. Congrats @marthawells.com on the fantastic series debut! Loved every minute of it and cannot wait for more episodes. (I will bide my time between eps by drawing more!)

Okay, I put this off too long, but I've been distracted:

Murderbot.

First two episodes came out last week on Apple+ and I have to say I'm very pleased. There's a lot to love here.

My only complaint: I keep wanting to give Alex Skarsgård a hug, and Murderbot does not want to be hugged.

Which reminded me of meeting, visiting, Anne McCaffrey at her home in Ireland, where there were many beautiful & clearly hand-made bookshelves:

Over on Whatever today, I've written a longish piece on billionaires and boycotts, how boycotts are effective (and are not), what to do when you don't feel you can boycott, and what to say when someone is telling you that you're not doing it right:

Good post and once again I'll reiterate that I think it's a good idea for creatives (and others) to have a room of one's own online, and a space that no one else can ruin against your will.
