On Friday we had to say goodbye to our beautiful Nutmeg. She gave us more than 15 years of love and joy. I'm going to miss my little fuzzy friend so much.

Two of my pet hates at the supermarket today. Firstly the woman serving me spent almost the entire time chatting to another member of staff whilst scanning. Then when I went to put my trolley away, someone had abandoned a large trolley in front of the smaller ones which I had to move.

We're just outside of the Met Office red and amber zones but the wind is definitely strong tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed that we don't get too much rain in the area. Lots of people affected before that don't need more misery.

Our old dog had started to really pick at her food and was losing weight so I changed the brand. She loves the new food. I've been mixing it with the old to use it up but she's really not impressed with that
