Now that it is tax season I remind everyone:

DO NOT USE TURBOTAX.

THEY WERE REMOVED FROM THE IRS FREE FILE SYSTEM AND ARE NOT BOUND TO THOSE RULES.

Instead, if you make $84k or less a year, use any of the IRS Free File options found here: www.irs.gov/filing/irs-f...
IRS Free File: Do your taxes for free | Internal Revenue Service
Prepare and file your federal income tax return online for free. File at an IRS partner site with the IRS Free File Program or use Free File Fillable Forms. It's safe, easy and no cost to you.

Cats without James Corden. Cats without cats.
Just a few hours of dark quiet.

Honestly for all producers of Netflix shows, I’m not looking at your names while I am waiting to click next episode! Just end it and let’s move on!

If water didn’t freeze at very low temperatures, life in Northern Minnesota would be far easier, with the exception of ice fishing, snowmobiling (sledding for those us who actually ride), and mixing drinks.
I’m happy to let it freeze to accommodate the latter. Outhouses exist for reason.

Yes; my Governor, “Coach” Tim Walz and our MN Democratic Tri-fecta made free breakfasts and lunches available to all students in K-12 public schools !

Be the change you want to see in the world… mostly quarters, some dimes.

No pennies! Never pennies!

Don’t be a penny.

Tr: Circe, the sorceress in Greek mythology, is shown pouring a potion into a pool to turn her rival Scylla into a monster out of jealousy.

Vibrant colors and dramatic expressions emphasize themes of revenge and magic.

Rough translation…
Circe Invidiosa (1892) - Güney Avustralya Sanat Galerisi, Adelaide

Today I saw a public library (Hiawatha, Iowa) with a little free library in front of the building. Inception moments come when you least expect them.

AND Madeline Kahn’s premiere on film!!! Outstanding.

Judy: Steve, you didn't tell me you were married.
Howard: We're not married.
Judy: Congratulations.
Eunice: But we will be soon.
Judy: Condolences.
I dare anyone to declare ‘What’s Up,Doc?’ is not one of the greatest movies of all time. Comedy, mystery, musical, and some of the greatest lines in any film.

Judy: Love means never having to say you're sorry.
Howard: That's the dumbest thing I ever heard.

I’ve mentioned this before, but if you’re short on cash but have an urge to shop, go to your library digital apps and browse the books, audiobooks, movies, shoes, magazines. It works really well to give you the same feeling without spending the cash. (Plus you’re supporting public libraries.) 💙📚

I've been thinking about this poem by Langston Hughes recently and although it was published in 1931, it remains relevant as ever.

SOMETHING TO KEEP YOU OFF THE LEDGE:

"If you ever get the blues about the status of American culture, there are still more public libraries than there are McDonald's. During the worst of the Depression, not one public library closed its doors."

A wonderful, extended run for the canoe and paddle board this year on Lake Vermilion. Some ice on Pike Bay and snow in the forecast. Saying goodbye to paddling until Spring.

Librarians. The experts you need, the professionals you want.
What do librarians do? Do they need degrees?
Public librarians have to be coders, social workers, and book rec machines. They’re irreplaceable.

I know everyone says this, but the amount of STUFF libraries have available digitally is just breathtaking. My library system here in Baton Rouge has thousands of Udemy courses available. And they're free! They're so free.

Libraries are cool. Librarians are cool. Support your libraries.
