Over 60% of new-install electrical generating capacity in the US this past year was solar, with wind at 19%. Both are much faster to scale than coal and gas, and in some cases cheaper.
Coal is 15% of generating capacity. Wind, solar, nuclear, and hydro combined? More than 30%!
