Last fall, I was tired of hearing that support for bikes came from a narrow minority of Berkeley, so I commissioned a poll to ask how broad support is here. The answer is that the vast majority of the city, 73%—and even a majority of people who do not bike—support adding more bike infrastructure.
I wonder who might get inspired to try it if they saw bike pickup listed as an option here.
Apparently Whole Foods has never heard of someone picking up groceries on a bicycle

Just making sure we’re all aware of this. As primaries get going, ensuring none of the terrible, horrible, aspiring Democratic presidential candidates make headway will be one of the most important fights. Let’s not lose!
Buttigieg polled an impressive 0% with Black voters. Zero. Percent.

Do you know how kind and friendly Black voters are? Everyone gets like 3%, just for showing up! You have to work to go down from there!

It's 2025, And I still run into people that don't know why Black voters don't like Buttigieg.
This is a straightforward Republican attack line, what the fuck is he doing

I saw a number of family bikes with kids on the back even in today’s pouring rain and strong wind here in Berkeley this morning. A lot of great clothing for the weather, too (including a kiddo in a full snow suit)!

Good. I'm certainly not contributing to Democratic candidates while Schumer is still in leadership. I do not believe the Democrats have any intention of fighting back and that means they are useless.

This is a nice article about a great @rideact.bsky.social bus experience. Fun fact: the Key System train that followed this route was *also* the F line. The E is another good transbay line for some similar reasons (was also a Key System train route!). www.sfgate.com/local/articl...

“In New York City, mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s campaign was among the most openly pro-trans in history. He regularly name-checked the trans community in speeches and hired trans people to help right his trans rights platform.” This is a great piece and is well worth your time.
For @msnbc.com I wrote about how Tuesday's election gives Democrats the blueprint for overcoming Republican anti-trans attacks and how thus should settle all the talk about throwing trans people under the bus.

Opinion | Democrats’ election wins showed they don't need to hide their support for trans rights
Republicans repeated Trump's anti-trans strategy from 2024 and lost big. This should be instructive for Democrats.

I hope Schumer is next. His embarrassing non-endorsement is just yet another example of how completely out of touch party leadership is and has been. Make way. We do not have time to wait.
