Quite a jump from May!

That fire factor seems … … low.

These two adjacent news items belong in a museum somewhere. Or in a memorial.

Excited to be here with all my people.

Here's a big version in case anyone wants it. I can send a PDF, too.

On the @nytimes.com mobile app, the protests are no longer on the front page at all. You can get a full video update about Billionaire’s Row, though.

Today’s ride. Much better, @amtrak.com! Hard not to compare it to other systems—electrified @caltrain.com seems like a full generation ahead, not to even mention other countries’ systems. But I’ll take incremental improvement. Here’s hoping it helps people believe more investment is worth it.

The Pastry Box in the East Village, NYC, has a sign out today saying, "Name a better Black & White." Even with my considerable expertise on this topic, I cannot. Everything else I tried was fabulous, too, and the people are awesome. Get to it. thepastrybox.co

This sign from your fourth photo is the one that really gets me going.

It was a blast. Thanks to everyone who came and thanks especially to everyone who helped keep the riders safe!

The rides grew and grew, both in attendance and in the number of people who stepped up to make them far better than I could on my own. Our ride last September was around 1,000 people and it was a total blast.

I see a second video clip on KTVU showing northbound travel, after your screenshot. Unless I am confused!

“HOMES FOR ALL—WE WON’T WAIT” in the same window as “We don’t want this! STOP Up-Zoning! SAVE the Elmwood!” Give me a fucking break. (That “END FOSSIL FUELS” won’t happen if we “SAVE the Elmwood,” either.) Nabolom Bakery on Russell St.

@sfbayferry.com this interface is frustrating. The game is in a week. You let me select the date. I go all through date and time selection before you tell me tickets aren’t available. But, you don’t tell me when they will be available. Why not make this easier? Let me buy in advance, please!

I did the same thing in Copenhagen, borrowing a Bullitt X from LvH for a while. Caution: it's an effective sales technique! 💀

Sometimes I still think about this piece from just after the primary. It says so much about why Democrats are losing—they *WANT* Cuomo back, and they'll fight for that. They keep sending fundraising texts and hoping talented and principled politicians like Mamdani and AOC will just go away.

One addendum: Anki’s official mobile app—which costs $25!—is the #1 top paid education app in the iOS app store. That’s wild! It’s like the Craig’s List of learning—ugly but very effective.
