The story of my avatar. My family and I oft play Mario Kart. My fav. character is Donkey Kong. And I jokingly call myself Big Daddy Kong because my wife hates it. Has become a bit. Then this summer we went on the pipe coaster in Revelstoke and the photos made us all laugh. Am I wrong? Ha.

The #UCP government says it's treading carefully on #Alberta's minimum wage due to "extremely high levels" of youth unemployment.

At $15/hr, Alberta has the lowest minimum wage in Canada.

A reminder to my fellow Albertans that some of the conditions that allow you to wave the fee for a Covid vaccine are depression, ADHD and asthma. Feels like basically if you have an ongoing prescription for any number of common conditions it is worth mentioning to the nurse.

I think if the Calgary Police Service can spare a bunch of officers from across the city to do a sweep of downtown to move along the unhoused and arrest folks with severe substance abuse issues maybe it just means we need more funding for housing and treatment to actually get those folks help.

Alberta, watch what America is doing right now - with their refusal to support funding of the Affordable Care Act.

If Danielle Smith has her way with the medical system, we, too, will be facing $1000s in monthly premiums just to visit doctors.
She wants it that way.

50 years ago today, Nov. 10, 1975, the Edmund Fitzgerald sank beneath the waves of Lake Superior during a massive storm.
The sinking took the lives of all 29 men on the ship, and became immortalized in Gordon Lightfoot's song.
This is the story of this terrible tragedy.

By using s33 pre-emptively, the UCP is not simply admitting that their laws are breaching Charter rights. (Governments have done that before.)

By foregoing judicial review, they are further admitting that their laws cannot be justified in a democratic society.
