I saw a headline yesterday that #Ford is passing legislation that let's him bypass existing legislation to speed up development, but I can't find the article today. Is this just his deal with carney to get the Ring of Fire built or is this something new? #Ford #Carney #ontPoli #CdnPoli #RingOfFire

Carney as lesder makes me physically nauseous. He's simply finishing what Harper started, but at an insanely expedited pace
Carney better not cave, again.

"Greer said the U.S. will take aim at two major Canadian policies: the Online Streaming Act, which brought online platforms like Netflix, Spotify, & YouTube under Canadian broadcasting rules, & the supply-managed dairy sector, among others."

I don't understand why people don't see there are huge problems with Carney. "Section 12 of the Bill C-15 would allow the minister to exempt any individual, business or other organization from any existing law or regulation other than the Criminal Code, for up to six years, with few limits."

Russia just said the quiet part out loud.

Russia’s ambassador to the UK, Andrey Kelin, admitted there is no “deal” to be made with Ukraine — only an agreement on its surrender.
That single sentence destroys years of Kremlin talk about “peace” and “negotiations.”👇

* $$ spent DT comes from reduced parking/commuting costs
* discretionary $ from our budgets s/b spent in our communities not DT
* few people have discretionary $

A minor thing (or not), but at 15:39 in this clip @robshaw.bsky.social suggests that the PM misled Premier Eby on a phone call earlier this week, saying that the #MOU wasn't done when in fact two hours later it leaked out that the MOU was done.

Interesting article
With an aging population, it goes to reason the numbers will be higher.
State of our healthcare system?
Lack of investment into better pharma for age?

Big pharma isn't much interested in making our senior years more comfortable either.
