I don't think I see the media making this distinction enough.
"Deportation" is generally understood to be a transfer of a person to *liberty* elsewhere.
Transferring them to indefinite, violent detention is not deportation.

<p>However, the 25-year-old, like many in the besieged enclave, would not live to capture another moment of the war. </p>
