5.5" since Thursday night (~7.5 million gallons) and no run off or standing water. When I was a kid, this drain would have been sitting in a foot of water. Satisfying to see 20 years of soil improvement realized with better water retention and infiltration.

This is a Sole Source Justification for the purchase of 25 Chevy Tahoes by ICE at $90k each. Now, I’ve done several sole-source procurements, one just last month, and this is total bullshit. Their reasoning is that Hendricks Chevy is the only place that has them in stock.

Older gentleman walks into the Map Center and asks if it's true that I'm moving to Providence.
I tell him I'm trying to get a bigger space and that might be in Providence.
He told me he lives in Pawtucket and he'd never go all the way to Providence. But he'd miss me.

Ok so one of my weird theories is that there are no aliens b/c like, complex systems are so sensitive to initial conditions…it’s totally possible that even in the vastness of the universe this is the only rock life can thrive on idk 🤷😄
We really have a such a lucky set of coincidences. Strong gravitational field holding the atmosphere against the planet, iron core that spins to create a magnetic field deflecting the magnetic flux from the sun, Jupiter’s gravity eating asteroids, etc
